ARRIVAL
The nearest airport is situated in Kittilä, appr. 15 kilometers from Levi. There are direct flights from Frankfurt to Kittilä year-round. Connections from Berlin and Munich are often seasonal or via a layover.
Levi is one of the easiest destinations for air travel. Kittilä airport is only 15 kilometers away from Levi so you can take the airport bus from Kittilä airport to Levi, taxi or a private minibus to stay at our accommodations.
LEVI AREA
In Levi, you can chase the northern lights for about seven months each year. The aurora borealis emerges as soon as the nights start growing dark again, with visibility running from mid-August to mid-April — the peak viewing window falls between September and March.
Yes, Levi is an excellent choice for families with children who want to experience the magic of winter. In Levi, you’ll find Santa’s cabin, a snow village, Elves village, Arctic Adventure Park, as well as huskies and reindeer among other things.
Yes it is. In total, Levi has 44 downhill ski slopes, 26 lifts, and 4 snow parks. There are slopes suitable for every skill level. The downhill skiing season kicks off in October on the front slopes, using snow saved from the previous winter, with additional slopes opening up as temperatures drop low enough for the snow cannons to run. Remarkably, the front slopes stay open all the way through May! Cross-country skiers can also make the most of the season, which typically continues until late April.
Yes, summer in Levi is pure magic — a season where the golden midnight sun bathes the fells in endless light, and the fun simply never stops. Fancy a round of golf at midnight? Go for it. The sun never sets, so the only limit is your imagination. Glide across pristine lakes by kayak, cast your line for the catch of the day, feel the adrenaline rush on two wheels along thrilling bike trails, or melt away the day’s adventures in a traditional sauna — any hour you like. And for the ultimate finale, ride the gondola to the summit of Levi, where breathtaking views unfold in every direction, as far as the eye can see.
